A Fun Healthy Snack

Snacks are a good way to keep a balanced diet. It is good to eat about 4-6 small meals a days. Healthy snacks should be filling in the food pyramid. Snacks, such as fruits and vegetables, can give us a great burst of energy to get through that afternoon slump. A handful of almonds can provide much needed protein for our diet. Below is a fun snack that covers quite a few food groups. You can add or subtract items to fit your palate.

*You can put the leftover bowl of mixed ingredients in the refrigerator to save for a snack tomorrow*

Enjoy your healthy snacks! Our bodies need nutrients at all times, not only at dinner time.
